LC Online Essay Writing Contest 2025
India badly needs good writers and it is best to encourage them when they are young. When we were looking to enrol our kids for an online contest, we could not find anyone who was doing this online, and in all our enthusiasm, we were like, why not?
Introducing the LC Essay Writing Contest 2025!
The Learners’ Collective Foundation invites young writers to participate in an essay competition. This is an opportunity for children to hone their writing skills, think creatively and express their thoughts on a larger platform. This competition will also give them an opportunity to meet with fellow writers their age and learn from acclaimed writers.
Need for inclusivity in the world today is even more. Young voices need to be brought to surface so that they are heard. The winners’ essays will be published on our website as part of our attempt to showcase voices from different backgrounds.
Rules
This competition is going to be held completely online. There are two broad categories for entry.
Age groups:
- Age 9–12 years (Category A)
- Age 13–16 years (Category B)
Length:
- Category A: Maximum 800 words
- Category B: Maximum 1500 words
Dates:
- 1st — 14th Jan: Registration
- 15th Jan: Topics Announcement
- 31st Jan: Submission Deadline
- 9th Feb: Interviews with shortlisted participants
- 16th Feb: Announcement of winners
Prizes:
- 1st Prize — ₹7,000
- 2nd Prize — ₹3,000
- 3rd Prize — ₹1,000
